Iran Issues Strong Warning of Response to Any Military Aggression
(MENAFN) Iranian officials issued a sharp warning on Monday, with senior leadership signaling that the country is fully prepared to respond forcefully to any external escalation, following the rejection of Tehran’s latest proposal aimed at ending the ongoing war by the US president.
The Speaker of Iran’s Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, stated that Iran’s military forces stand ready for any confrontation and would respond decisively if provoked. Writing on the social media platform X, he emphasized a hardened stance toward any hostile move.
“Our armed forces are ready to give a memorable lesson to any aggression,” Qalibaf wrote in a post on the US social media platform X.
He further argued that flawed decision-making leads to negative outcomes, suggesting that global actors have already recognized this pattern.
“Wrong strategies and wrong decisions always produce wrong results. The whole world has already understood this,” he added.
Qalibaf also stressed that Iran is keeping all possibilities open, warning that opposing sides would face unexpected consequences if tensions continue to rise.
In another post, he insisted that there is only one viable path regarding Iran’s demands laid out in its 14-point proposal, describing it as the only realistic option moving forward.
He wrote that “no alternative” exists other than recognizing the rights of the Iranian people as presented in the proposal. He added: “Any other approach will be completely inconclusive; nothing but one failure after another,” Qalibaf wrote.
He also warned that delays in addressing the issue would have financial consequences for the United States.
“The longer they drag their feet, the more American taxpayers will pay for it,” he added.
In a separate development, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi criticized US-led initiatives concerning a draft proposal at the UN Security Council related to the Strait of Hormuz, adding further tension to ongoing diplomatic disputes over the strategic waterway.
