Iran Pledges 'More Destructive' Strikes Against U.S., Israel

(MENAFN) Iran's military issued a defiant and escalatory warning Thursday, threatening to unleash "stronger, wider, and more destructive" attacks against the United States and Israel, while flatly rejecting Washington's assertions that Tehran's combat capabilities have been critically degraded.

The declaration came within hours of President Donald Trump telling the nation in a televised address from the White House that Iran had "very few" missile launchers remaining and that its capacity to deploy missiles and drones had been "dramatically curtailed." Trump indicated he anticipates the war to persist for another two to three weeks, while expressing confidence that the conflict is nearing its conclusion.

Tehran fired back swiftly. A spokesperson for Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, quoted by the Fars news agency, dismissed American and Israeli intelligence assessments of Iran's military posture as fundamentally flawed.

"As we said, we announce to the Zionist-American enemies that your information about our military power and equipment is incomplete. You are completely ignorant of our enormous and strategic capabilities," the spokesperson said.

He categorically denied that Iran's missile production infrastructure or advanced weapons systems had been neutralised, delivering a stark caution to adversaries banking on that assumption.

"Do not think that you have destroyed our strategic missile production centers, our long-range offensive drones, modern air defense and electronic warfare systems, or our special equipment -- because such assumptions will only make matters worse," he said.

The spokesperson insisted that Iran's strategic arms manufacturing remains fully operational, dispersed across undisclosed sites far beyond the reach of U.S. or Israeli forces.

"The centers you imagine are of little importance, and our strategic military production is taking place in places you do not know and will never be able to reach," he said.

On the trajectory of the conflict, the spokesperson was unambiguous — warning that the intensity of Iranian strikes would only grow.

"After the powerful and unbelievable blows you have received so far, expect from us actions that are stronger, wider, (and) more destructive," he said.

He added that Iran would prosecute the war until its enemies "wither, are humiliated, regret completely, and surrender."

The exchange marks yet another sharp escalation in a conflict ignited when Israel and the United States launched a coordinated offensive against Iran on February 28 — a campaign that has killed more than 1,340 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Tehran has responded with successive rounds of drone and missile salvos directed at Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf states hosting U.S. military personnel, leaving a mounting toll of casualties and infrastructure destruction in its wake while sending shockwaves through global financial markets and severely disrupting international air travel.
